Task Owner Responsibilities

You've been designated as a "task owner" within Green Check - read more to find out what that means for you.

This article summarizes the responsibilities and expectations you will have as a task owner.

If you've just received an email informing you that you've been designated as a "task owner", great news! This means you're the individual (or part of a group of individuals) responsible for receiving notifications and completing tasks relating to a certain area of the app.

  • If you're the individual user responsible for an app area, you will receive related notifications and tasks for that area and be asked to complete the associated work.
  • If you're part of a group of users responsible for an app area, you and anyone else in the group will receive related notifications for that area and be asked to complete the associated work. Whoever completes the actual work by closing the associated task will be marked as the "completed by" user in the task table.

What does it mean to own the tasks for an app area?

As the task owner, you will be added as the assignee for auto-generated tasks, and be expected to complete them by their due date. A task could be anything from a CRB who finished their application and needs approval, to a FinCEN report that needs completion, and much more.

Here are a list of the types of tasks you will receive by app area:

You will be listed as the assignee for these task types and will be expected to perform account approvals and review documents/business licenses.

Important Note: If you are listed as an app-area "owner", it is important that you review your notification settings within the user settings page of Green Check. Be sure to turn ON notifications for the associated app area so you don't miss important emails or in-app notifications from Green Check informing you that you have a task to complete.
