      Finding your Metrc API Key

      In order for data to be fetched via a connection between Green Check Verified and Metrc, an API key is needed from the metrc console.  Make sure that you are using a user in metrc that has view access to Sales, Transfers, Packages and Items.  Ultimately, using someone who has admin or manager level permissions is best.

      1. Log in to your Metrc account
      2. Select your user profile on the top right side of the page
      3. Select API Keys
      4. If the Current API box (shown below) is empty:
        1. Click Generate
        2. Copy the entire Current API Key
      5. If the Current API box(shown below) is not empty:
        1. Copy the entire Current API Key

       

      API Keys are only effective if they are displayed in the current API key field as shown in the screenshot below. To avoid issues, refrain from generating a new key if there is already one present, as it may invalidate permissions on the old key and disrupt communication with Metrc for any connected applications.
