Contextualizing Metrc Wholesale data

You and your team may be familiar with doing a near one-to-one matchup between a sale and the corresponding dollars brought in from that sale. The Metrc Wholesale integration reflects transfers of product between buyer and seller, but may not necessarily correspond to when the seller is paid for said product (e.g. invoices with net-30 terms). As such, it may be beneficial for you and your team to adjust your methodology for how these accounts are monitored.

Rather than matching sales to core deposits and expecting a 1-to-1 relationship, we should instead shift our focus to look at historic account activity/trends and peer group activity/trends. For instance, if the Metrc Transfer data you see for your CRB is consistent month over month, but core deposits dramatically increase, you may need to connect with your CRB as to why those deposits have increased.
